Training and lessons at Entropy Farm

The trainers at Entropy Farm offer a variety of disciplines and training schedules at many levels which can be tailored to fit the needs of each individual horse and rider. They work as a team to bring in internationally renowned clinicians, as well as manage IDCTA schooling shows. They work with young horses in training, beginner riders, as well as the FEI level riders and A-circuit competitors. Several students trailer in weekly for 3 to 4 days of intensive instruction or a weekly lesson.

Schooling shows

The trainers at Entropy Farm recognize the value of exposing their students to a variety of training experiences. For this reason, they host several IDCTA approved schooling shows throughout the show season. Judges acquired for these shows are, at a minimum, at the 'L' level. Schooling shows offer the clients feedback on their current level of testing, as well as the experience of showing in a safe and famialar environment. Even the most advanced clients benefit from these shows, receiving valuable feedbacks on the tests they intend to compete in at upcoming USDF approved shows.

Entropy Farm owners and management have recently announced the creation of the Entropy Farm High-Point Award for Adult Amateurs and Junior Young riders for the 2005 schooling show season. A cooler will be awarded to the Adult Amateur horse and rider pair and Junior Young rider/horse whose average scores for ALL Entropy Farm hosted shows is the highest for that season's show series. To be considered for this award, the horse/rider combination must compete at every scheduled Entropy Farm schooling show.

Clinics

Clinics are another valuable training tool employed by the trainers of Entropy Farm. Entropy Farm regularly hosts clinics by renowned trainer and rider, Lars Holmberg of Sweden, as well as FEI 'C' judge Gary Rockwell. Entropy Farm boarders are offered ride times in these clinics before the general public
